Pure (Covenant, #2)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Published April 3, 2012 by Spencer Hill Press
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude or killing her.
When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.
Oh Lord... I just might faint. Romance, action, political intrigue, super powers and did I mention Aiden? Sigh. Jennifer L. Armentrout should be put on a pedestal and fed grapes by gorgeous men in togas for writing this series. Seriously. I am in the Official Armentrout Addict Club. Did I mention I'm running for its President?
Hold on while I call in my refill, because my inhaler is empty after reading this absolutely thrilling installment. And I'm buying tissue company stock since I need to make money off myself for buying so many boxes... and anyone who reads this series.
I am biting my tongue and tying my fingers from writing any spoilers, so let me say that there are some heart stopping, soul searching, gut wrenching scenes. When I picked the book up, I spent ALL night reading it, not putting it down once! I devoured it in one delicious, mouthwatering, succulent, luscious bite!

Seth is showed us a new side in PURE and I still have my reservations about him. Sorry Seth lovers. The boy just doesn't know what the word NO means. Or privacy. The chemistry is there to be sure, but since I know Aiden is perfect for her, I stand with him. There has GOT be a way for them.. some how.
Alex didn't get a lot of answers, but she did get a lot of trouble and heartache. I am amazed at her strength to keep going after everything she has been through. She does make me want to hit her in the head for doing dumb mistakes. You'd think she'd learn her lesson. Aiden... Aiden... let me count the ways that I love you. (Sorry honey!) He is so protective of Alex and so commendable. Even though he did do some things that had me yelling at the book. Good thing no one was with me at the time.
Armentrout created more depth to the story, kept the pace flowing and delivered wonderfully rich and decadent characters for us. On to DEITY, book three. **Now where is my inhaler... and that tissue box**
